On the eleventh day of our five week road trip, we drove from Chicago to Cleveland, Ohio. Why Cleveland? Well, that's where the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is!
We arrived late on a Tuesday afternoon, checked into our hotel, and then walked downtown to find a place to eat dinner. No such luck! In Cleveland, they really do roll up the sidewalks at the end of the business day! Finding nothing open, we walked back to our hotel to eat at their restaurant, but not before walking down to where the Hall of Fame sits on Lake Erie's shore.
This isn't anything special, I'm just really into reflections. |
The next morning, we walked back down to the Hall of Fame, which is a pretty cool place. Lots of memorabilia and artifacts that belonged to various artists, lots of music, and lots of old photographs. They have done a pretty good job of presenting the history of rock and roll.
Photography was not allowed in most of the display areas, but it was OK in the main entrance area, so I only took a couple photos inside.
This was Janis Joplin's 1965 Porche cabriolet. |
And of course, this is ZZ Tops Eliminator hot rod. |
We had to hurry through the exhibit before leaving for Niagara Falls, our next stop our USRT, but on our way out of the parking lot, we noticed this memorial to fallen fire fighters. I had to shoot it for my son-in-law, Stephen.
